Mourinho’s Frustration As Manchester United Draw 0-0 With West Brom

United v. West Brom 2

Premier League | April 1, 2017 | Old Trafford | Attendance: 75,397

Manchester United’s pursuit for a top-four place faltered after a stubborn West Brom side frustrated Jose Mourinho’s men to a goalless draw at Old Trafford. Despite having over 70 per cent of the possession, United failed to penetrate the Baggies resolute defence.

Both managers were poised on the touchline since the game kicked off. There was a nice embrace between the pair before the match but Mourinho was frustrated at the end when the last referee’s whistle sounded off.

Jose Mourinho’s side dominated proceedings but were once again lifeless in attack as they had to settle for a draw for the eighth time in 15 home matches in the top flight this season. The draw also means that United could be six points adrift of the Champions League places if Manchester City beat Arsenal on Sunday. The draw was United’s eighth at Old Trafford this season.

A toothless and injury-hit Manchester United missed a chance to close in on the Premier League’s top four when they were held to a 0-0 home draw by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday April 1, 2017.

Was this an April Fool’s day football match?
