Premier League | Wed Dec 14, 2016 | Selhurst Park | Attendance: TBC | Scorers: Pogba 45, Ibrahimovic 88; McArthur 66

A late timely strike from Zlatan Ibrahimovic with just two minutes to go gave Manchester United a vital victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening away in Selhurst Park as the Red Devils defeated Palace in the Premier League.

The Swede saved United as Jose Mourinho’s men secured the three points, after James McArthur had cancelled out Paul Pogba’s first-half opener to level at 1–1.

Captain Wayne Rooney had an early opportunity to break the deadlock, but couldn’t direct his header on target from Juan Mata’s cross after five minutes.

United nearly had bad luck with 25 minutes remaining, but for a timely save from David De Gea. Palace’s McArthur ran towards goal with the ball, before unleashing a swerving effort that De Gea tipped away superbly and saved the day..
