Europa league: United trashed Feyenoord 4–0

For the first time in a long time Wayne Rooney was Manchester United’s main inspiration as the Red Devils found an attacking formula that clicked against Feyenoord. United enhanced their qualification prospects with stylish win over Feyenoord on Thursday.

Mkhitaryan was outstanding on his first start for more than two months for Manchester United. It is no longer news that Captain Wayne Rooney ignited United in rout of Feyenoord on Thursday at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney moved to within one goal of Sir Bobby Charlton’s scoring record for Manchester United in impressive 4-0 defeat of Feyenoord in Europa League.

United’s emphatic win lifts the club to second in their group, meaning we only need to draw in the last match against Zorya Luhansk to progress. United showed a fine attacking performance at Old Trafford on Thursday, at times, sparkling.

The Red Devils’ passing was snappy and their movement was cunning according to theguardian. Rooney broke a record and Mkhitaryan made his big Old Trafford breakthrough. Everything looked a little rosier for the boss Jose Mourinho.

Like the Englishman, Rooney, said, he’s not finished yet. Even by Rooney’s standards, it was an eventful day as he reached another personal milestone, becoming Manchester United’s record goalscorer in Europe.

Did Wayne Rooney prove his critics wrong? You bet!
