Jose Mourinho vs Pep Guardiola: Bitter rivalry!
A Premiership classic is about to unravel on Saturday, 10 September, 12:30 PM at Old Trafford. The Blue and Red of the City of Manchester will meet once again in the English Premier League on Saturday at the Theater of Dreams. The competition this footballing season is unrivaled as a resurgent Manchester United host a powerful Manchester City at Old Trafford. City’s rise over the last half-a-dozen years has made this impending match more than just a bitter neighborhood derby as the stakes grow ever greater and even higher.
This year’s encounter has an added spice as the premiership giants meet after spending millions of Dollars acquiring star players. After this, throw in two men whose story stem from an almost sibling-like quarrel and conflict, beginning two decades ago in Catalonia, and you’re about to become witnesses to the makings of a Premier League classic at Old Trafford.

Pep Guardiola who replaced Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City in February is viewed as the champion of Tiki-taka soccer, while after his acrimonious departure from Stamford Bridge in December, the second time he was sacked by Chelsea, Mourinho was given the task of realigning Manchester United within English football’s elite – where they belong.
Tiki-taka (commonly spelled tiqui-taca [ˈtikiˈtaka] in Spanish) is a style of play in football characterized by short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession. The style is primarily associated with La Liga club Barcelona, especially during the era of manager Pep Guardiola.
On Saturday, the two managers will meet on the touchline for the first time in the English Premier League – at Old Trafford, Mourinho’s turf.

“Friendship . . .Well, no, not quite friendship, but a working relationship.” This was how Guardiola looked back on his time with Mourinho when they first met at Barcelona in 1996. Mourinho had arrived as a coaching assistant to Sir Bobby Robson, whom he had worked for at Sporting Lisbon and Porto, helping translate for the Englishman. Guardiola, meanwhile, was growing into the most senior member of the Barcelona squad, named captain under Robson’s successor Louis van Gaal – remember that name?
JOSE MOURINHO and PEP GUARDIOLA will renew a rivalry as old as their managerial careers on Saturday when Manchester United face Manchester City at Old Trafford in the City of Manchester. Well, Saturday is it and I can’t wait for the whistle to begin the greatest match-up in the English Premier League – the Manchester Derby
