Jose Mourinho has drawn up a list of thirteen first team players and may be more – at Manchester United – he wants sold.
Reports indicate that Mourinho met with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward on Friday to discuss Manchester United’s transfer plans – Some Red Devils know their time is up at the club.

Reports claim that after over two hours of discussions between the two men, Mourinho drew up a list of 12 players (a source said 13 players) which may be surplus to requirements next season.
Among the names discussed were Juan Mata, first on the list (Jose had earlier sold him to United when he was managing Chelsea), Ander Herrera, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini and Ashley Young.
Guillermo Varela and Matteo Darmian and forward Memphis Depay are also said to be on the way out.
And South American trio Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia may be sold should United require further funds for Mourinho’s overhaul.
Adnan Januzaj may also go. While there could be further sales under Mourinho, the trio of Adnan Januzaj, Antonio Valencia and Bastian Schweinsteiger are in the early firing line.

Juan Mata’s impending exit is of interest to me because I know that Jose Mourinho does not like the guy. While Mourinho and Mata were in Chelsea, Mourinho didn’t like Mata’s style of play – saying that Mata did not fall back regularly to help out in defense during attacking forays by opposing strikers at Chelsea eighteen and goalposts. Mourinho sold Mata to United. Now, Mourinho will sell Mata again – to who?
Schweinsteiger’s exit would not be a total shock, with the German failing to make a consistent impact and struggling for fitness throughout the campaign.

If Mourinho has to buy some and sell some players, care should be taken not to sell vital players that United may need to call up during crucial matches next season.
Up Man U!
