What a match: Shrewsbury 0 v. United 3

Manchester United secured a much-needed win after a 3-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup 5th round.

United and England centre-half Chris Smalling broke the deadlock late in the first half, in the 37th minute, before Juan Mata extended the Red Devils’s lead on the stroke of half-time.

Van Gaal’s side had suffered successive defeats ahead of their trip to the League One side but Jesse Lingard put the tie beyond doubt 29 minutes from time to take the Red Devils to the 6th FA Cup round at Old Trafford.

With this win, Manchester United has set up an Emirates FA Cup quarter-final meeting with West Ham after comfortably seeing off Shrewsbury Town 3-0 on Monday night.

I’m as happy as a lark.

Up Man U!
