Manchester United needs to beat Swansea on Saturday

Man U . Against Swansea . Manchester United have lost their last three games against Swansea City and Louis van Gaal is keen to end that run on Saturday.

Manchester United ended a run of four straight defeats in all competitions with a 0-0 draw against Chelsea last Monday . . .

This match prompted the beleaguered Van Gaal to vow to the British press at his post match interview – that he will not resign despite their desire for him to do so. Van Gaal changed his mind apparently, because, the players played for him after his pleading, which was evident given their spirited display against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal called on his players to improve upon their past displays especially against a strong Chelsea – pleading again that they should dare to play football against Swansea on Saturday in the new year – 2016.

Manchester United

8-5-6, 6th Premier League

Swansea City

4-8-7, 17th Premier League

Man United will meet Swansea on Saturday January 2, 2016 and the boss had this to say:

Van Gaal . 007

“Swansea have been what I call my ghost team, meaning we are looking to start this new year with what I have been told you say in England by breaking the duck.

It’s always the same. You make a game plan to beat your opponent. We have lost three times to Swansea but then you have to analyse why you have lost.

It’s always like that. And then you continue with the same vicious circle of working. It’s not any magic. It’s looking to what has happened and what you can improve as a team but also as an individual player.

We’ve done exceptionally well against them in the last three games, but we know it will be a tough game and we’ll have to be at our best again.

Some of their results have been a little indifferent but they were excellent against Chelsea on Monday and the game could have swung their way on another day. We’ve just got to go there and perform, be bold and play our football”

– Louis Van Gaal, Manchester United Manager

We need to beat Swansea, not draw, or any other option. Any other option will upset me – I can assure you that!

Van Gaal on how to beat Swansea:

Louis Van Gaal

“It’s always the same. You make a game plan to beat your opponent. We have lost three times to Swansea but then you have to analyse why you have lost. It’s always like that. And then you continue with the same vicious circle of working. It’s not any magic. It’s looking to what has happened and what you can improve as a team but also as an individual player.”
